Visitors

My mom and dad came to visit us in Minne! Wow!

We had so much fun, we went to so many fun places.

Como Conservatory, Dock 6 pottery, Minehaha Falls,

fishing shop in Blaine, quilt shop up north, Red Lobster,

joint teaching with the missionaries,

Train Museum, Stone Arch bridge and Guthrie Theater,

and there are still things on the to do list....

for next time, I guess!

Our biggest adventure was taking them up north,

to see Lake Superior and some of the fun things up there.

Catching some hikes along the way, 

soaking in the gorgeous scenery.

We saw the huge see-liners and big bridges,

and went to the beach in our boots and winter coats. 

We made it all the way up to Grand Marais, Mn.

(you can google map that...)

It's a beautiful drive, and we had a beautiful hotel

with a giant lake view right out the window.

We loved having grandma and grandpa here-

reading stories, making good food, seeing new things...

G and grandpa even did their hair the same one day:

"Criss-cross applesauce"

(it was COLD up north! -we're so photogenic)

but check out that cliff!

The lighthouse was built before roads were along the shore.

It was shipped in by boat,

and then carried up the cliff and assembled there.

Amazing!

Dad said he'd buy me anything I wanted-

I went for the hotdog after shopping at Costco.

Those things are so good!

And they stayed to go trick or treating with us as well.

Happy Halloween from the owl and the princess!

(grandpa carved the pumpkin, which was no small feat)

Genevieve lasted a whole two blocks knocking on doors-

we didn't complain, it was cold!

Next year I'll have to push her a little more,

she ran out of snickers way too fast...

can't imagine why.....

We absolutely loved and enjoyed every minute or your stay;

we should do it again!!
