My Crazy Saturday

I thought that I would share all of the fun things that I did today. I have been feeling a little weak lately, so I decided that I wanted a bench press. While looking on Craig's list I found this beauty for $100: The Marcy upper body workout machine (with 4 different functions!) This is practically the Swiss Army knife of workout machines.

Since I now have a garage and a basement, we suddenly have room for things like the "Marci upper body workout machine." The only problem was that it weights about 400 pounds and the weights make up about 1/2 of the weight. The guy that I bought it from had 2 other guys there to help me take it apart and put it in the Scion, but when I got home it was just Becky and me. So, I took the 200 pound weight stack device thingy apart and carried it into the house in parts. In the basement, I reassembled it where it needed to go. Luckily the basement is unfinished so it can stick up between the floor joists. I think we had 3 inches of clearance between the top of it and the floor boards to the first floor.
While making sure all of the bolts were tight, I noticed that it was missing a carriage bolt on the bench, so Genevieve and I went to Menards to buy that (Becky had left for a fashion show with Aunt Elisa, so Genevieve and I had a date night.) While at Menards, we got more tape (for Genevieve's diapers. She likes to rip them off.), a new chain pull for the light on our ceiling fan in out bedroom. It was broken and we have just had a lamp for lighting that room. I had to shut off all of the lights in the house to turn off the power to this one room, so Becky and Elisa came home to the house in utter darkness. Genevieve was content to play with her star lights as I replaced the switch.
See, it works!
I also bought calk at Menards to fill in some small cracks in our bathroom.
Oh, and I studied for 5 hours and took care of Genevieve in the morning as well. It was a daddy-daughter day full of building things. Genevieve helped me put the exercise equipment together, and she wanted to help recalk the bathroom until she got calk on her hands. When she realized it was "sticky" she didn't want to help anymore.

I love my daughter because she likes to do things with her Daddy. I love days like yesterday!
