The Orchard

We went to an orchard with my cute cousin and her family,

they showed us the way to do things

starting off with some brats cooked in apple cider

Genevieve learned that apples grow on trees

And we also got to go on a hayride

pulled by a tractor

(insert memories of the Dell and Grandpa Patten here)

G got to slide down the orchards brand new slide

it was so big, and she totally loved it

We also got to pet the "wambies"

and climb on the huge haystack.

We finished off the evening with

a gallon of fresh apple cider, oh yum!

It was a perfect autumn adventure!

We went on a hike

The Mississippi is really low right now,

in comparison to the floods earlier this summer

We have had a whole week of amazing weather here 

Our windows have been open constantly

and it's been around 78 degrees.

It has been so beautiful and so perfect,

we can't stand being inside!

Playing Catch-Up!

Well, we've been gone for so long that I don't even know where to start! My very cute sister, Sadie, came from Utah for  visit at the end of July. We did a bajillion different fun things, including shopping, tubing, hiking, bike rides, swimming at the lake, sight seeing, Duluth, Stillwater, ... if only we had more time! One of my favorite pics is from the sculpture garden in Minneapolis:

We also ate lots of good food while Sadie was here.

We drove back to Utah since Neal finally had a break from law school

We started out our vacation with a camping trip in the mountains right by Moab, UT

Hiking, Fishing, S'mores, Dutch ovens, Tents

and

Extended family

(Food allergies, anyone?)

We had such a great time camping!
